Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American journalist. Her current role is working as a sportscaster at ESPN who is also anchor for SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. The first time she worked at ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual since nine years old, a valuable ability that allowed her to secure her first job in the production department at Univision in Miami that gave her the chance to collaborate with producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Following this she was hired by the CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. Her move to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for one of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. Reporters covered issues related to the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs in both Texas and Mexico. The duties of anchoring for weather or sports were also frequently asked for. They moved at some point to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November 1985. She is the elder sibling of her parents. In 1992 her family left Mexico and moved to Miami. In 1992, her parents divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she got married again Fabio Fajardo who was an engineer in the naval sector who died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. The holiday in the summer that she lived with her younger sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten a job. Antonietta was a senior high school student and had a clear idea of her career goals. She visited Mount Union University to see if it was a good fit for her. It was an amazing campus. It also gave her the degree she wanted. After finishing high school, she decided to go to the university with a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor and manager at WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. The passion he had for journalism as well as her self-confidence instilled confidence in her. In turn, she attempted to live up to his expectations and never disappoint him.
